Black Point and Green Point are unincorporated areas of east Novato. Black Point lies on the southern side of Highway 37 at the Atherton Avenue exit while Green Point is on the northern side of Highway 37, in the hills above Atherton Avenue.
Both areas enjoy a semi-rural feel and it's a great location for a "close-in" country home. There is a mix of houses from which to choose - from old, rustic bungalows to mini estates and much in between. Many homes sit on large, tree filled lots with sweeping views. In Black Point, some homes are near the Petaluma River and enjoy water access for boating. There is also a 64-acre wildland sanctuary called the Black Point Nature Reserve.
Located adjacent to the Open Space Perserve is a new luxury subdivision at the Stone Tree Golf Club, which has a gorgeous 18-hole course and upscale clubhouse. It's called Renaissance and we've devoted a page to it.
Residents of Black Point and Green Point enjoy a short drive to Sonoma and all that the wine country offers. They are also just minutes from Highway 101. Also close is Novato's Gnoss Field Airport.
