In Central Novato, there are many residential areas featuring single-family homes, although concentrated around Diablo Avenue and Center Road there are condos and some apartments.

The main roads through this area are Center Road, Hill Road and Tamaplais Avenue. Off of these roads are many small cul-de-sacs.
