Ignacio in Novato
Ignacio is a large area of southern Novato, west of Highway 101. Generally, it refers to the areas on either side of Ignacio Blvd. There are several neighborhoods within Ignacio, such as Marin Country Club, Pointe Marin, Domingo Canyon and Loma Verde.
Another subdividion within Ignacio is Marin Glen. It has nice townhomes that share just one wall and feel a lot like single family homes. These were built in the late 1980s and many are about 1,600-1,700 square feet. The homes sell in the $500,000s.
Ignacio is appealing because of its quiet, upscale neighborhoods, its great commute location, its beautiful hills and access to outdoor recreation. What's more, shopping opportunities are getting better all the time. Pacheco Plaza is underoing a major renovation, and just across the freeway, the brand new Hamilton Marketplace has Marin County's largest Safeway grocery store, as well as other stores and small restaurants.
