Indian Valley is a beautiful, serene spot West Novato. This unicorporated area once consisted of flourishing orchards and chicken ranches. Today, it has single-family homes on large parcels, some with equestrian uses. Indian Valley has a country feel, with many trees, open spaces, white picket fences and small ranches. Homes range from small bungalows to large country estates. It's common to see Indian Valley residents on horseback along the main road.
Properties range from one to 45 acres, with the exception of some quarter-acre lots, mainly on the valley floor. The Indian Valley Open Space Preserve provides a very special recreation opportunity - it has a nearly flat, mile-long dirt path that stretches from Indian Valley Rd. to the College of Marin Indian Valley campus.
