Loma Verde is located in southwest Novato in the Ignacio area. It's an attractive neighborhood for buyers wanting affordable single-family homes (by Marin County standards), but who are not willing to give up beautiful scenery and a convenient commute location.
Loma Verde is an unincorporated pocket made up of about 500 homes built in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Loma Verde sits adjacent to the prestigious Marin Country Club. It also backs to Open Space, and the neighboring hills provide fabulous walking trails and majestic oaks.
Loma Verde residents also enjoy close proximity to shopping. The nearby Pacheco Plaza is undergoing a major facelift and it was recently announced that locally-owned Paradise Foods will anchor the shopping center. This is an upscale market that will benefit the area. Just across the freeway overpass is the new Hamilton Marketplace, which boasts the largest Safeway grocery store in Marin, plus there are restaurants such as Toast, a Marin County favorite.
