Marin Country Club in Ignacio, Novato
The "country club" area is located in southern Novato, west of Highway 101. The prestigious and private Marin Country Club has a newly-renovated 18-hole golf course, and homes in this neighborhood are located on the course, on the tree-lined streets alongside it and in the hills overlooking it.
The country club is an upscale area and contains single family homes. Prices range from the high $600,000s for Ranch-style homes in "original" 1960s condition, up to $1.5 million or even more for gated, estate-like properties. On average, homes in the country club area sell for more than similar-sized homes in other parts of Ignacio. Outdoor walking and hiking opportunities abound, and of course the Marin Country Club has much to offer.
The country club's southern Novato location makes it a popular choice for people who commute south from Novato. The area is ideally located: close to shopping (Pacheco Plaza is just down the street, the brand new Hamilton Marketplace is just over the freeway with Marin's largest Safeway grocery store, and Costco and Target are just a couple of exits north in Novato.
