New Construction Homes in Novato

Brand new construction in Marin County is not common. The County has a no-growth plan dating back decades, so unlike many other places in the Bay Area, Marin's hillsides are not overrun by new housing subdivisions. This lack of significant growth is a major reason that Marin home prices stay strong. Simply, the supply of homes stays relatively the same.

Over the last decade, Novato has seen the most growth in housing units, with the addition of about a thousand new homes at Hamilton Field and another 250 homes in Pointe Marin. Today, there are small infill developments that continue to be built, as well as "stand-alone" semi-custom homes -- all offering buyers the opportunity to live in a brand new home within an established neighborhood.
