Olive Avenue is a 2-mile stretch of road that starts in downtown Novato and ends "a world away" at Atherton Avenue, among equestrian properties and open space in eastern Novato. Along the way are several small neighborhoods, representing a mix of old and new. While some contain modest 1940s bungalows on large lots, others feature newly-built luxury homes. And and as they say, there's everything else in between. There are semi-custom homes on hillsides and smaller subdivisions with homes built in the 1970s.
We've featured a few of the developments along Olive Avenue on their own pages: Olive Ridge, Windwalker Way, and the very newest (and selling now) Olive Estates.
What all of these homes share is convenient access to downtown Novato. Trader Joe's is at the corner of Olive Avenue and Redwood Blvd., and in Spring 2010, Whole Foods Market will open and there's easy access from Olive Avenue.
