Sunset/Lynwood in Novato
Located in mid-west Novato, the Sunset/Lynwood area refers to the neighborhoods around Sunset Parkway and Lynwood Hill Park. The area has many great starter homes because of its relative affordability. Residents enjoy a convenient commute location, less than a mile from Highway 101.
With the exception of some hillside homes, this is a fairly flat area with sidewalks. There is a bike/walking path along South Novato Blvd. that is great, too.
Many homes are Ranch-style and were built in the 1950s. Prices start in the $300,000s for a fixer and go up to the $600,000s.

Neighborhood schools for South Novato Blvd.: Lynwood Elementary, Hill Middle School, Novato High (always check with district before buying a home)
Good Shepherd Lutheran School is also located in this neighborhood. This is a private school.
